This blog is brought to you by Denise Berger, Ed.D. It is my hope that it is instructional and thought-provoking, and that it sparks curiosity for you to be involved, innovate, and have meaningful impact in the world around you.
I enjoy developing people's potential, organizational culture, and team learning. I hold an Ed.D. from Pepperdine University in organizational leadership, and completed my dissertation on corp social responsibility (CSR). In the dissertation, I identified the leading American Fortune 500 global corporations & analyzed why and how they do “itCSR”–a more sophisticated corporate contribution to society that produces meaningful triple bottom line impact. Prior, I was a MD at Aon, a global insurance broker/consultant and ran the East Region of the global ops, which handled the multinational needs of Fortune 500s. I was responsible for developing and retaining a team of 40 geographically-dispersed professionals, setting best practices globally, & double-digit income growth goals. I was part of EXCELerate, a program focused on developing the top 50 women globally, and went on to run the Women’s International Network. I have been a mentor to young professionals, coach for social entrepreneurs participating in LA SVP’s Fast Pitch; consultant to organizations. I received a MBA from Fordham University; BA from Colgate University.
